This web page demonstrates how to change an icon on a Windows XP/Vista Desktop.
It is assumed that the user:
1. Already has a Desktop shortcut to the Cosmopolitan Club Website.
2. That the
Cosmopolitan Club Icon (Cosmo Icon.ico) is in the "My Documents" folder.
The Cosmopolitan Club shortcut on the Desktop may look like this.
Right click on the icon to open the following drop down menu,
Click on "Properties"
Make sure the "Web Document" tab is selected
Click on the "Change Icon" button
A list of icons may appear. If the Cosmo Icon.ico isn't shown, it will be
necessary to browse to the folder where it is located. In this example it
will be assumed that the icon is in the "My Documents" folder.
Click on the "Browse" button
The
"system 32" folder may appear. This is not the desired folder.
Click on the "Up One Level" icon (green up arrow).
Repeat clicking until the "My Documents" folder appears.
Click on "My Documents"
Next click the "Open" button (bottom right)
Locate and click on "Cosmo Icon.ico"
Then click "Open"
The "Change Icon" dialog box should appear with the selected icon
Click the "OK" button
Click the "OK" button
The icon should now be changed
